Open home questions
What do I need for an open home?
Most agents use an A-frame at the property, pointer signs at the turns from nearby main roads, ground spikes to stand the pointer signs up, and an Open Home or Just Listed sticker on the signboard. Real Stickers prints all of them in Sydney with your branding.
How many pointer signs do I need?
One for each turn a buyer makes from the nearest main road, plus one near the property if it is hard to spot. Real Stickers pointer signs are double-sided and come in packs of 10.
Are ground spikes included with pointer signs?
No. Ground spikes are sold separately in packs of 10, made for our pointer signs.
How long does an open home kit take to arrive?
Allow 5 to 7 business days. We send your proof within 1 business day, print in Sydney in 2 business days after you approve it, and standard delivery takes 2 to 4 business days (2 to 3 in Sydney). Express is faster, and rush orders are often possible, so contact us if you are short on time.
Can I reuse the signs at every open home?
Yes, if your design shows your agency branding rather than a property address. Your A-frame, pointer signs and ground spikes can then go to every open home.
Do I need council approval for open home signs?
Usually not for a signboard on the property itself, as long as it follows your state's conditions. Pointer signs and A-frames on footpaths and nature strips are controlled by your local council, and many need a permit or only allow signs during the open home. See our signboard rules by state and check with your council before you place signs.
