Which size Sold sticker should I use on my signboard?

The short answer: pick a sticker that sits inside your board with some margin around it, and go wider when your wording is longer. On a 1200 × 900 mm board, a 900 × 300 mm sticker is 75% of the board's width. On a 900 × 600 mm board, a 600 × 200 mm sticker is two thirds of the width.

The sizes agents order most

Across Real Stickers custom sticker orders over the last 12 months, the most-ordered sizes were:

  1. 900 × 300 mm rectangle (31 orders)
  2. 500 mm round (28 orders)
  3. 600 × 200 mm rectangle (27 orders)
  4. 720 × 240 mm rectangle (27 orders)
  5. 400 mm round (22 orders)
  6. 600 mm round (15 orders)

Rectangle or round?

Rectangles suit a band across the board, such as a Sold or Under Contract strip, and leave room for longer wording like "Sold prior to auction". Rounds suit a corner of the board and short wording like "Sold" or "Leased". Round sizes are the diameter, so a 500 mm round is 500 mm across.

All standard sizes

  • Rectangles: 600 × 200, 720 × 240, 900 × 300, 1200 × 400 and 1700 × 550 mm, plus a slim 900 × 120 mm
  • Rounds: 400, 500, 600 and 700 mm

Some agency designs use their own sizes, and each product page lists the sizes for that design.

Check it on your own board

Our free size guide draws each sticker to scale on your signboard, using your board's measurements, and has a free artwork template for every size. Measure the board's width and height in millimetres, enter them, and compare sizes before you order.

Tips

  • Leave a margin so the sticker doesn't cover the agency logo or the agent's photo.
  • Longer wording needs a wider sticker to stay readable from the street.
  • If you add a "Sold by" line with your name, go one size up.
